3. Data Storage

All data you create in Quillo — including notes, categories, and settings — is stored exclusively on your device using Android's local Room database. This data:

• Never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export a note
• Is not backed up to any cloud service by Quillo (though Android's own backup service may back up app data according to your device settings)
• Is deleted when you uninstall the app

4. Permissions Used

Quillo requests only the permissions necessary for its features:

• Biometric / Fingerprint: Used solely to authenticate access to locked notes. Biometric data is processed by Android's system API and never accessed or stored by Quillo.
• Storage (Write): Used only when you explicitly export a note to your Downloads folder. We do not read any files outside the app.

We do not request any other permissions (location, camera, microphone, contacts, etc.).

5. PIN Lock & Biometric Security

Quillo offers an optional PIN lock feature. Your PIN is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. Fingerprint authentication uses Android's official Biometric API — your biometric data is processed entirely within Android's secure hardware enclave and is never accessible to Quillo.

6. Export Functionality

When you use the Export feature, your note is saved as a .txt file to your device's Downloads folder. This export happens locally and involves no network transmission. You are solely responsible for any data you share after exporting.

7. Third-Party Services

Quillo does not integrate any third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or external APIs. The app functions entirely offline with no outbound network connections.

8. Children's Privacy

Quillo is rated "Everyone" and is suitable for all ages. Because we collect no personal data from any users, there is no special concern regarding children's data. We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13.

9. Data Security

Since all data is stored locally on your device, security is primarily managed by your device's own security features (screen lock, encryption). We recommend keeping your Android device updated and using a screen lock. The optional PIN/fingerprint feature in Quillo provides an additional layer of protection for sensitive notes.

10. Your Rights

Since we hold no data about you on any servers, there is nothing for us to provide, correct, or delete. All your data is on your device and under your control:

• Access: Your data is in the app on your device.
• Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all app data, or use in-app deletion features.
• Portability: Use the Export feature to get your notes as .txt files.
